Boundary / PZM

Boundary Microphones (sometimes known as Pressure Zone Microphones or PZM) are unusually shaped microphones designed to record audio around a wider area. The most common use for boundary microphones is in a meeting or roundtable discussion, as a single microphone can clearly capture a multitude of voices. Other uses include recording a complete performance space or staging area with a single microphone.
